Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD) delivers an exploration of world-building, surrealism, magic, and the intimate relationship between technology and the body. Through four innovative exhibitions, Chris Schanck: A Surreality, Clare Gatto and Kara Güt: Magic Circle, ASMA: Wander & Pursuit, and Levon Kafafian: Portal Fire: Shrine of the Torchbearer, examines various cultural moments shaped by the phenomena of time, technology, and the imaginative construction of alternative realities. Join MOCAD in the opening celebration of these ambitious exhibitions, we invite you to explore notions of reality and engage with the nature of possibility.
