The collaborative artwork, Repercussions reflects on the reverberating unforeseen effects of decisions and actions, the way thoughts and behaviors ripple and echo outward. A straightforward disruption, a beam through a wall, resonates with its environment in a web of interpretive cause and effect. Situating one’s body to consider a painting is both an assertion about and a response to the immediate circumstances. A quiet flow of shifting connections emerges—a window, a painting as a window, questions of inside and outside, questions of viewpoint and use. From meditative contemplation to disruptive gestures, Repercussions models the ordinary give and take of social interactions, the way events respond to each other and remain collectively present in the flux of attention and interpretation.
