JOHN COLLINS + THE GRIM FEEDER
Sunday, October 27, 11am–5pm
John “Jammin” Collins is one of the Detroit electronic music community’s most familiar faces, and not simply because of his role Submerge’s Exhibit 3000. For nearly four decades he’s been a constant presence on the decks at Motor City clubs, most famously during his days as a resident DJ at the legendary Detroit nightspot Cheeks, as well as gigs at the Warehouse, the Parabox, and Times Square. John is an ambassador and passionate advocate for the city of Detroit as well as an active member of the community. The City of Detroit appointed John to The Detroit Entertainment Commissioner and is a Detroit Berlin Connection Board Member. The Grim Feeder is your 100% vegan pop-up in Detroit City providing a food service for both body and spirit, inviting you to join them in eternal health through vegan cuisine.
These daytime parties feature great music, food, cocktails, art, and coffee all in one place. A changing roster of DJs perform sets that take us from their point of influence through a musical trajectory that leads to their current musical outlook while some of Detroit’s most deliciously interesting culinary pop-ups provide breakfast worth getting out of bed for.
