Join us for a panel discussion about literacy in Black art and visual culture. Panelists include Black Art Library curator Asmaa Walton, MOCAD Curatorial Fellow Maceo Keeling, College of Creative Studies Professor Lauren Willams, and Source Booksellers’ Alyson Jones Turner.

Panelists will discuss the publications W.E.B. DuBois Data Portraits: Visualizing Black America and Mastry by Kerry James Marshall to help unpack ways in which access to art can reveal new ideas, information, and inspiration that can have a direct impact on the lives of those who take the time to read and engage.
